Brittan
Veteran Winemaker Robert Brittan left Stags’ Leap Winery in Napa after 16 years to fulfill his dream of making Pinot Noir from unique sites in cooler climates. Robert started out making wine in his dorm room at Oregon State University. “I realized that alcohol was an attractant, so I began my career in fermentation sciences in order to get a date.” He ultimately completed his education at UC Davis and moved to Napa Valley, where he made wines for Far Niente, Saint Andrews and Stags’ Leap Winery.
After over 30 years of experience growing grapes and making wine for others, Robert took his wealth of viticulture and winemaking knowledge to this new venture. With a passion for Pinot Noir, he purchased a 128 acre estate inside the recently designated McMinnville AVA at the north end of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Awesome fruit in the hands of a winemaking prodigy – what more could you ask for?
