Silver Oak Cellars was founded in the early 1970’s by entrepreneur Ray Duncan and winemaker Justin Meyer. Essentially, their dream was to create a Cabernet that was ready to be enjoyed on the day it was released. They wanted to avoid the rough and tannic style that required years of aging to reach its potential. To achieve this, they carefully selected high-quality grapes from proven growers and then aged their wine for up to five years, spending two years in oak before offering it to the public. Over 35 years have passed now and the same philosophy and standards are still practiced today. Because of the unwavering commitment to the original vision, Silver Oak has developed a rock-solid reputation and worldwide respect.
