Let's get something straight, there's no monkey business when it comes to Malt Master Dave Stewart. His latest creation pays homage to the malt men of yesteryear who turned the barley by hand which often resulted in a temporary injury, known as "monkey shoulder." This blend of three Speyside single malts (Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kinivie) are individually aged in Bourbon casks and once matured, they're blended together to create a rich, malty, flavorful blended whisky that captures the essence of Speyside without draining your wallet. We're talking about full-bodied fruit tones of pear and apricot with layers of vanilla, honey, and spicy oak. One thing is certain; this is a serious whisky that shouldn't be taken too seriously. Just drink it!
