2005 Chateau Reignac Bordeaux Superieur Rouge

Before the '09 Bordeaux hoopla began, the critics were going absolutely nuts over the 2005 vintage. This sensational year birthed 100-point wines left and right and let $30 wines hold their own with some of the big dogs. That's where Château Reignac comes in. Robert Parker and Wine Spectator both weighed in with high accolades with Parker calling this stuff "A sleeper of the vintage." What caught us off-guard was that it's just starting to evolve and still can go years in the cellar! It's always a refreshing reminder that you don't have to drop a ton of coin to get big-time results. Proof's in the bottle, friends.
