The Huneeus family (of Quintessa fame for you Napa fans) has made a wise play in Chile’s best region for Pinot Noir. This offshoot of their Veramonte project is about capturing the cool – often cold – breezes of the Pacific in Casablanca. Smoky red fruits, subtle earth, cranberry and tobacco notes define a wine that laughs at the notion that delicious Pinot has to be expensive.
