Inspired by the journeys and discoveries of explorer Joseph Banks, Master Blender Arnaud de Trabuc has created Banks 5 Island Rum, a blend as unique and beautiful as the islands it comes from. Upon opening the bottle, the air is filled with aromas of tropical flowers and orange blossoms from pot-stilled Jamaican rum, as well as rich caramelized sugar from high-toned rum from Barbados. The palate is layered with notes of wet earth and funk from Guyanese rum and a deep spiciness common to Batavia Arrack from the Isle of Java. The mélange of flavors and aromas are intertwined with large amounts fresh coconut and chewy oak. Now is the time to host a Tiki party and mix up some Mai Tai’s and Daiquiris. Don’t forget the mini umbrellas!
