Distilled from 100% North American rye, it is rich, spicy and exceptionally smooth. As the Whisky Advocate described "It oozes spice (mint, cinnamon, hint of nutmeg) balanced by layers of sweetness (honeyed vanilla, caramel), with nutty toffee emerging on the finish."     And Tex Ritter ought to know! Jefferson's is a world-class Rye. It sports very few distractions from its main ingredient, but ten years of aging has given it some pleasant and surprising aspects. If you can't handle the proof at room temperature, a generous splash of water or two ice cubes will do the trick. "If the ocean was Jefferson's and I was a duck, I'd swim to the bottom and drink it all up!"
