Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Whisky Scotland
More From Balvenie:
Let's get something straight, there's no monkey business when it comes to Malt Master Dave Stewart. His latest creation pays homage to the malt men of yesteryear who turned the barley by hand which often resulted in a temporary injury, known as "monkey shoulder." This blend of three Speyside single malts (Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kinivie) are individually aged in Bourbon casks and once matured, they're blended together to create a rich, malty, flavorful blended whisky that captures the essence of Speyside without draining your wallet. We're talking about full-bodied fruit tones of pear and apricot with layers of vanilla, honey, and spicy oak. One thing is certain; this is a serious whisky that shouldn't be taken too seriously. Just drink it!
Thanks to a special combination of natural alchemy and centuries old craftsmanship, The Balvenie is unique among single malt producers in Scotland. One of the few remaining distilleries to grow and malt their own barley in-house, they also have a resident coppersmith who maintains the stills, and they employ a team of coopers who ensure each barrel is in perfect condition before they are filled. Lastly, their Malt Master David Stewart presides over the all-important maturation process. Their attention to detail and ability to control all processes from start to finish has made them a favorite among those in the know. Come taste what all the fuss is about!About Balvenie
