One taste was all it took for us to grab everything the importer had left. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes, "The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino reveals an open, expressive bouquet laced with sweet menthol, red cherries and spices, all of which come together nicely on a rich, round palate. The wine shows lovely depth in its perfumed red fruit, with a long, persistent finish and no hard edges. It is delicious today and also appears to have the stuffing to develop nicely in bottle. This impeccably elegant, polished Brunello is a terrific effort from Casanuova delle Cerbaie." There was a lot less left than we would have hoped for... please act fast if you'd like some!
