Piero Antinori's global vision reigns supreme in this blockbuster project from Washington's Columbia Valley. Predominately Cabernet Sauvignon, it's the kind of red that can rock a steak either next Saturday or two decades from now. The brain child of Tuscany's Marchesi Antinori and Washington State's Chateau Ste. Michelle is a celebration of world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from the most pristine Washington fruit. Founded in 1995, they enjoy the combined centuries of knowledge and experience from both of the parental wine cultures. The estate vineyard was planted in 2007 to Bordeaux varietals and Syrah with the orientation, spacing and density matched to the specifics of the site, ensuring uniform ripening and fruit quality. The winemaking facility is situated at the center of their wine universe with vineyards emanating outward like the rays of the sun.

    Comment:
    the 2007 Col Solare is beautiful wine that drinks well now but can also age. It is infused with soft flavor, smooth texture and can go well with food or certainly be enjoyed by itself.

    Comment:
    This is a solid deal on a very good wine. It's worth it, just buy it! Not sure how it will age but it opened up quickly and we enjoyed a couple bottles with Thanksgiving.
