90 Plus Rated Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world’s most recognized grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every wine producing country, but first became internationally recognized through its prominence in Bordeaux. It is also the grape that has helped Napa Valley become the domestic Mecca of winemaking that it is today. A relatively new variety, the grape emerged from a chance crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc during the 17th century in southwestern France. The classic profile of Cabernet Sauvignon tends to be full-bodied, voluptuous wines with high tannins and noticeable acidity that contributes to the wine's aging potential and is considered one of the noble grapes of the world.
