This limited-edition release was finished in California port casks, infusing rich color and sweet complexity into the lightly peated whisky. Aromatics of strawberry candy and beachside firepit make for an inviting introduction. The palate shows the uniquely 10th Street flavors of oyster salinity, dry grass and sage, but brings in sweet red licorice and mixed berry preserves. The finish is cream and viscous with a hint of camphor and white pepper on fruit cake. Sounds like a great day on the coast.
