A gorgeous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Dark cherry, blackberry and a touch of spice on the nose. The palate is full, relinquishing flavors of red raspberry and a touch of bell pepper on the palate. The wine has heft, while maintaining lightness on its feet. Yum!
A striking, radiant wine, the 2011 Caiarossa is one of the better wines I have tasted from this property. Mocha, plum, espresso and dark spices all flesh out in a warm, inviting red that captures the essence of the Tuscan coast. All the elements meld together effortlessly. The 2011 is intense but never heavy. I imagine the 2011 will offer a decade or so of fine drinking. This is a terrific showing.
I love the seamless texture of ripe fruit from mangoes to pineapple within this white. Lemon too. Full, fruity and fresh. This is a blend of Viognier and Chardonnay. Rhone meets Tuscany. Drink now.
Lush and framed by toasty oak, this red delivers blackberry, plum, earth and spice flavors, draped over solid, refined tannins. Fresh and persistent on the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot and Alicante.
