As an appellation, Diamond Mountain has an untarnished reputation. It's home to a dense concentration of some of Napa's most distinguished all-star producers. Coho's SummitVine Ranch is a classic example of the superlative fruit that could only come from this hallowed mountain. Black plum, cassis and a whiff of minerality on the nose show no signs of the tough growing season. On the palate, this is full bore mountain Cab that one should expect from this region but it is still light-weight and balanced on the palate. For a Cab-based blend of this pedigree to be priced at $50 bucks, this is an absolute no-brainer.
