The Wine Advocate says "This is one of the most exciting new projects in the Duero zone." The 2013 Galia is mostly old-vine Tempranillo with some 7% Garnacha from very old vineyards in different villages around the Duero River. The Wine Advocate continues that it is "extremely fresh, floral, almost citric, open, exuberant, elegant and harmonious... This is an awesome value." This would be a fantastic companion to a mixed grill of chorizos, Moroccan-spiced lamb chops, and prawns this summer.

Bodegas el Regajal is a farm, rare butterfly preserve and winery just 35 minutes outside Madrid.
