We harpooned the biggest and baddest PlumpJack wine of them all! The 2013 PlumpJack Reserve" Cabernet got a 96-100 point barrel score from Robert Parker, and given his recent affinity for all things PlumpJack, we wouldn't be surprised to see that turn into a 100-pointer in a few months.
This small lot we snagged is the cream of the crop from that bottling and you'd be wise to grab it now while we still have some! With only 60 bottles in existence, it doesn't get much rarer than this beast. PlumpJack is turning up the volume and the world is taking notice. Don't miss your chance to bag one serious Cabernet trophy!
If we were to pick just one Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to blast into interstellar space for aliens to try when they stumble upon it someday, that wine would be Plumpjack Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville. In our view it is the most flavor-packed, complex, complete bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon that you can buy, in pretty much every vintage. Plumpjack is in one posh neighborhood, with Screaming Eagle, Rudd, Bond St. Eden, and Dalla Valle all nearby. This is Oakville’s (and the Valley’s) absolute sweet spot, near the crossroads of Oakville Cross and Silverado Trail. Their Cabernets are absolutely spectacular, stuffed to the gills with ripe cherry fruit and red rose perfume—and very fairly priced compared to the neighbors.
