2014 Domaine Anne Gros Combe d'OrveauPinot Noir Burgundy Chambolle-Musigny
Each year we receive a tiny allocation of Anne Gros' impeccable, elegant Chambolle, adjacent to and just to the south of Le Musigny. Spiced crushed strawberries, red cherries, and hints of ginger are the theme here. Drink between 2018 and 2029.
Anne Gros hails from a long line of exceptionally qualified winemakers and in 1988 at the vibrant age of twenty five she took over her father's domaine. She not only rose to the occasion, but is taking Burgundy by storm. In a few short years she not only doubled the domaine's acreage but brought a womanly finesse to the wine production. A true wine grower she knows what each parcel is capable of, and instead of relying on science she uses her intuition as her guide. Her sensitivity, talent and professional approach have earned her the respect of amateurs and enthusiasts alike.
