The deep purple color tempts you to dive in and rewards the bold with an energy that builds through the palate in layer upon layer of blackcurrant and black cherry, integrated oak, and a voluptuous texture. Acidity, alcohol and tannin are seamlessly integrated in this impeccably structured and balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a wine that grabs ahold and won’t let go, with a finish that lingers like a welcome guest on the front porch.
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Winston Hill is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest equal parts Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. This vineyard can actually be seen adjacent to the Silverado Trail. A glorious example of Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine has a dense purple color, seamless integration of acidity, alcohol and tannin, remarkable levels of blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, judiciously integrated oak, and a voluptuous texture and long finish of close to 50 seconds. This stunner is totally in harmony and can be drunk now or cellared for another 20-25 years.
