2014 The Jailbird Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Folks, this jailbird is in the pen because he can't do math.

The cost of production on this wine—from its luxurious French Oak barrels to its absolute prime vineyard sources in the Napa Valley—makes its $50 price tag taste like pure larceny. Blueberries, black cherry liqueur, mocha, and baking spices floored our tasting panel and caused a prolonged hush to come over our room of garrulous wine scouts.

We did it; we found a way to stuff $90 worth of Cabernet Sauvignon in a $50 package. Load up on this one!

The details are sketchy about what landed the Jailbird in Club Fed, but we're thinking insider trading. It's the only way he had access to the vineyard that produced this thrilling new release. Multi-layered flavors of black fruits, plums, cocoa powder and succulent dark berries slam the cell door shut. You have to know people who can tell you where the deals still live, so let's just say a little Jailbird told you about this one.
