A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from three of the greatest vineyards in the Napa Valley (which must remain anonymous for contractual reasons), this really must be tasted to be believed, bursting from the glass with aromas and flavors of super-ripe black cherry compote, creamy tobacco, old leather, black olive, and dark chocolate. This wine will make you smile as you drink it, because you’ll be reminded of how many wines that cost two to three times as much that come from the same vineyards. Game over. You win.
The newest stallion in the Bounty Hunter stable is coming out of the gate and setting the pace early. We were able to corral this black beauty after making a few calls and looking in just the right places (it's good to live in Napa). Once we discovered this thoroughbred was for sale in a claiming race, there was no way we were leaving the track without it. With fruit sourced from some of the absolute best vineyards in St. Helena, Oakville and Rutherford, and world-renowned winemaker Michel Rolland doing the work in the cellar, it doesn't really get more pedigreed than this. Though the project is cloaked in mystery, there's no confusion as to the quality of the finished product. It's this bottle's statement race… saddle up, dig in and prepare for the Cabernet ride of your life!
