A Prop red that could rightly be considered a Cabernet Sauvignon, this is absolutely killer red that Parker described as having "A stunning nose of graphite, white flowers, blueberries, boysenberry and blackcurrants, rich, opulent and mouthfilling, this is a lusty, dramatic and flamboyant style of wine that has terrific purity and presence." Put this one away for a 5-10 year stretch and prepare to be impressed!
At Bounty Hunter we consider it our sworn mission to introduce you to the unknown, the indie, the cults in the making in the Napa Valley. The garage wines you simply aren’t going to find on a shelf. We’re still pinching ourselves that we were able to pull this one off. Last year one of our Wine Scouts came to us raving about the wines of David Yorgensen and his Kind Cellars, and we were intrigued. We had not yet heard of the wines, mostly because David sells all of them direct to his wine club and to one restaurant: The French Laundry. He owns no vineyards, and makes less than 1,000 cases per year. We didn’t hesitate to make the call. If you follow what we do, and have enjoyed the likes of Bevan, He•li•an•thus, and Thomas-Hsi—and the rarity and exclusivity of these wines—these wines are for you. They’re our entire M.O: Truly outstanding Napa Valley wines you’re not going to find in the big box store, your local wine shop, or the internet.
