Radici translates to “roots,” and this wines roots are in meticulous research on the local grape varieties, terroir, and winemaking practices. Produced from vineyards, with an average age of 20-years, in a historic site in Taurasi. The fruit is harvested in November, vinified and aged for 30 months in French oak barriques and Slavonian casks, followed by a minimum of 36 months in bottle. It's one of our favorite expressions of Aglianico with complex notes of tobacco, mocha, strawberry jam, oak spices, and a whiff of savory herbs. Its robust palate shows additional notes of toasted herbs and scorched orange peel. This is a wine that will make you stand up and take notice of Southern Italy's rich history and exceptional terroir.
