While the vineyard sources for this wine are shrouded in mystery (They’re somewhere upvalley, ok?) the most important thing to know about this wine is that we think it’s one of the the single greatest values in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon we taste each year. So spicy, amaro-like, (e.g. root beer or vermouth di Torino), with notes of black cherry, almonds, old books, and cassis. This mountain wine will go the distance in the cellar in a huge way, and frankly we wouldn’t bat an eyelash if it were double the price.
