2014 Waypoint 'King Ridge' Pinot Noir Fort Ross-Seaview

Ron Sikorski's King Ridge Vineyard is a ways inland from the ocean in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, and thus the heat makes the wines a little riper and plumper than other standout wineries in the appellation, such as Hirsch and Fort Ross. We love the 2014 Waypoint's brushy, ripe strawberry, china black tea, white pepper, and baking spice scents, overlaying a plush and satisfying palate presence.

Gentle reader, it may surprise you to learn that many of the Napa Valley’s finest, highest-scoring wineries make wine from purchased fruit, and own no vineyards. Bond, Realm, and Schrader all fit this profile. Waypoint represents our relentless effort to stand shoulder to shoulder with this elite group of producers. With all of the mutually beneficial friendships and connections we’ve built over 22 years, we have no shortage of contacts with prime fruit to sell. In 2013, these networks paid off in the greatest way. Enter Tim Milos, our master oenologist and winemaker, who recently scored his first 100 point wine in The Wine Advocate. Tim makes all of our wines, from the Justice trio on down to Broken Spur. We know how talented he is, with an enviable CV featuring the likes of S. Anderson, Opus One, Rubissow, Girard, and Cliff Lede. Now it’s your turn to see what he can do, with these three STUNNING single-vineyard Cabernets. We’re offering them as a collectible 3-pack, for a special price for a limited time. You can only buy these wines here.
