James Suckling suggested this could be the best ever from this Estate, but that it would be even better in and after 2021. Well, here we are, folks. Full of rich, inner ripeness, finely woven tannins, and dense blue and red fruit, this wine is always a great quality-to-cost choice but the 2015...Magnifico! An easy call for a Chianti case-buy.
This is very perfumed and fruity with blue fruits such as blackberries and blueberries. Fresh flowers, too. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a fresh, driven finish. Shows definition and length for the appellation. Drink or hold.WA92
The 2015 Chianti Rufina Riserva Nipozzano has a pretty garnet ruby color and offers lots of cherry and nice fruit intensity. With rich, inner ripeness and dense texture, this wine delivers a great quality-to-price ratio within the greater Frescobaldi portfolio. The quality of Sangiovese from Chianti Rufina is always a little bit brighter and sharper compared to other parts of Tuscany, even in a hot vintage such as this.VN92
The 2015 Chianti Rufina Nipozzano Riserva is pliant, nuanced and harmonious. Floral overtones and silky tannins exalt the natural brightness in the sweet red berry fruit, spice and white pepper flavors. Wonderfully polished and inviting the Nipozzano Riserva is an overachiever in 2015 as well as a terrific value.WE91
Red-berry, blue-flower, tobacco, scorched earth and leather aromas slowly take shape on this polished red. The linear palate offers dried cherry, currant, ground clove and a hint of coffee alongside taut close-grained tannins. Showing the warmth of the vintage, it's already accessible. Drink through 2022.
