Ken Wright Cellars is one of the most highly regarded winemakers in America. The evidence is in the amazing consistency of high praise he receives. His wine has garnered 111 scores of 90 and above in the Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, his 2012 Abbott Claim Vineyard Pinot Noir was ranked by Wine Enthusiast as the number one wine in the world in 2014, and he was the first Oregon wine maker on the cover of the Wine Spectator, in the May 2015 issue! The rich volcanic soil gives this wine juicy red plum, marionberry, and a plump hint of pie cherry. Take advantage of this now to stock up for Thanksgiving. Although it is so delicious, we bet you’ll drink it all before then.
Owned by the Wrights, this beautifully proportioned wine is supple and tasty, with berry, cherry and blue plum. The barrel aging adds a dusting of cocoa, and the tannins, ripe and still a bit stiff, add notes of ground coffee.
