2015 Mt Brave Malbec Mount Veeder

Malbec is known by many as the grape that excels in Argentina, but its beginnings started in Europe within the Bordeaux region of France as a blending grape or on its own as the “black grape” of Cahors. In Chris Carpenter’s hands, on this amazing mountain site, it delivers a muscular red that can age for decades! The Wine Advocate notes “Veeder gives up a very unusual (in a good way!) savory/meaty nose over a core of black currants and blackberries with touches of Indian spices, chargrill and sautéed herbs”. An absolutely delicious wine for those who are looking for intense and meaty reds. This wines begs for pairing with anything on the grill – steaks, burgers or lamb!

Wine Advocate

Inky purple-black colored, the 2015 Malbec Mt. Veeder gives up a very unusual (in a good way!) savory/meaty nose over a core of black currants and blackberries with touches of Indian spices, chargrill and sautéed herbs. Full-bodied, very firm and very fresh in the mouth, the rock solid, muscular black fruit is tautly framed, finishing long and savory. Give it another 2-3 years in bottle and drink it over the next 25+
