2015 Poderi Luigi Einaudi 'Bussia' Barolo

$94.95

Poderi Luigi Einaudi has been crafting these traditional wines of substance since 1897. The vineyards of Bussia in Monforte d’Alba have a red sandstone and quartz sand soil (Helvetian Soil) that produce wines with more grip and structure. Wine Advocate notes this, “There is significant texture here with sweet, chewy tannins. This is a succulent Barolo, aged in neutral barrique. You could cellar it and see where it goes over the next few years, or open it in a few years with a medium rare steak. The Bussia cru shows density and structure.” A great traditional style Barolo with the grip of staccato like tannins, mix and match with the Cannubi from Luigi Einaudi to sample two different expressions of Barolo.

This is a succulent Barolo, aged in neutral barrique. You could cellar it and see where it goes over the next few years, or open it in a few years with a medium rare steak.
