Composed of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Merlot, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate gives a deep garnet-purple color and gregarious nose of crushed blackberries, mulberries and plums with hints of underbrush, black pepper, tar and dried Mediterranean herbs. Medium to full-bodied with a youthful earth and fresh blackberry-laced palate, it has a pleasantly chewy backbone and herbal lift on the finish.
This winery was destroyed in the 2017 Napa wildfires, yet this wine was safely stored in a warehouse out of harm's reach. It's classic Signorello, with charry oak framing the bold, well-ripened black and blue fruit. Muscular and dense now, it will likely benefit from cellaring.
