NEW! A Bounty Hunter Retail Exclusive. This bottling is crafted primarily from the finest Mineral Springs fruit: Tony Soter's own selection from a “suitcase” clone. Ridiculously tiny berries and clusters produce wines that are incredibly exotic and complex, brimming with notes of antique roses, pomegranate, sandalwood, and white pepper. Note that this is not the 98-point Mineral Springs Ranch bottling that James Suckling flipped over; this is its superior, the very rarest bottling from Soter, the finest expression of Pinot Noir this master can summon.
PRE-ARRIVAL; SHIPS IN NOVEMBER.
The 2015 Pinot Noir Mineral Springs Ranch White Label is pale to medium ruby-purple in color with a delicate nose of crushed rock, black cherries and cardamom with notes of black licorice, potpourri, dried leaves and earth. Medium-bodied, it packs in the dark fruits in the mouth with tons of spicy layers and firm, fine-grained tannins, with lovely juicy acidity carrying the long, bitters/amaro and spice-laced finish.
Aromas of ripe strawberries and violets follow through to a full body that shows very fine and velvety tannins. Full, flavorful, velvety and compacted — yet so beautiful. Needs time to open still. Superb texture. Better in 2019.
