Wow! This volcanic Atlas Peak site shows its terroir beautifully with this 2016 vintage. Opulent, velvety and evolving balance of roundness and tannin. Dunnuck loved its “spice, sagebrush, purple iris and blue fruits that emerge from the glass with this classic, structured, full-bodied profile.” Don’t hold back as it was a tiny crop and the juice will run dry fast. It’s an absolute stunner!
Lots of spice, sagebrush, purple iris, and blue fruits emerge from the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach, which has a classic, structured, full-bodied profile on the palate. From a larger site on Atlas Peak and aged in 80% new oak, it has lots of potential yet needs 2-3 years of bottle age.
