The mature vines at Ryan Vineyard just keep getting better – yielding ever more complex, deep Pinot Noir. Alluring aromas of dried cherry and sassafras open the show here. On the palate, prominent flavors of earth and ripe red cherries are underscored by cedar and vanilla from a long rest in French oak. As Wilfred Wong puts it, quite simply, “This wine is complete.”
Aromas of dried cherry, dark-red flower, smoked meat and black plum pudding come together in subtle ways on the nose of this bottling. The palate picks up more spice in the form of star anise and gingerbread, with lingering acidity driving cranberry and vanilla flavors into the finish.
