Being wine geeks, and unreasonably passionate about their vocations, naturally Chris Borges and Ian McCaffrey decided to make a Riesling, the most fruit-driven, noble, complex, and difficult-to-sell white wine known to man. This is their second effort – take it for a spin!
Childhood buddies Chris Borges and Ian McCaffrey have always had a strong interest in wine. After both attending St. Helena High School and graduating from college, the two decided to follow their passion and enter the industry. An alum of UC Davis, Chris is a fourth generation Napa Valley native who has been surrounded by the wine industry his entire life. He honed his knowledge on the various facets of the wine industry by working for notable wineries such as White Rock Vineyards and Sinegal Estate. Ian is a Viticulture and Enology graduate from UC Davis who became interested in wine when he moved to St. Helena as a child. Ian has worked at Joel Gott Wines, Schramsberg Vineyards, J. Davies and Joseph Phelps Vineyards.
