The 2016 Gary Farrell 'Hallberg' Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is one of our recent favorites. Bursting with cherry aromas, currant and a touch of cola, an incredible palate of concentrated fruit flavors blend with mushrooms, floral and and a touch of spice on the finish. Single vineyard magic!
Located along a ridge top amongst the native redwoods, oaks and madrones, Gary Farrell's winery is smack dab in the middle of the Russian River Valley and nestled into one of the most magical places on earth. The winery specializes in making some of the best Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from Sonoma's most recognized regions. Their winery is immaculate and ideal for serious winemaking. An array of presses, sorting tables and temperature controlled tanks mean that they have the utmost control during fermentation and winemaking. But it's not enough to be technically perfect - these guys have committed themselves to cultivating relationships with growers, vendors and customers too. A wine crafted with integrity and honesty goes a long way to make friends, don't you agree?
This lush wine offers layers of orange, rhubarb and spice. Black tea and clove chime in, showcasing the beauty and intensity of this wine's personality.
