Jessica Tarpy who's been an integral part of the winemaking team at Favia for more than a decade also makes some wines under her own moniker, Gather. For this beauty she sources fruit from Shake Ridge vineyard in El Dorado, up in the Sierra Foothills. This is a Rioja-style blend of 93% Tempranillo with 7% Graciano. Aromatics from floral, to earth and spice lead to a round, medium-bodied palate with red fruits and bright tannins. This food-friendly wine deserves a place on your table.
