2016 Grey's Peak 'Barrel Fermented' Sauvignon Blanc Waipara Valley

You’ll find this Sauvignon wonderfully effusive, with aromas of lime blossom, lemongrass, white flowers, pineapple, grapefruit rind, hay and very subtle gooseberry. James Suckling loved the wine, calling it “Barrel fermented into a nice place, with an extruded smoothly textured palate carrying melon, peach and mango fruits long.” Try it with a hot baguette and fresh goat cheese and be transported!

Greystone Vineyards have been producing wines from their limestone and fossil rich Waipara Valley soils north of Christchurch, New Zealand for over 10 years now. Their hillside vineyards are a perfect habitat for rich, strident Sauvignon Blanc.
