Well here’s a rarity! Château Corton Grancey is Louis Latour’s blend of four different Grand Cru climats: Bressandes, Perrières, Grèves and Clos du Roi, the proportions of which vary depending on the vintage. The average age of the vines is over 40 years. Suckling lost his cool! “Love the depth of fruit and intensity of this wine. It has dark fruit and floral undertones, as well as meat, which is very captivating. Full body, purity of fruit and nice, powerful tannins. Chewy and powerful.”

With over 200 years of Burgundian history, there are few names that move the needle like Louis Latour. Family run since 1797, they have built a reputation for tradition and innovation that continues to set the gold standard today, striving to embed the specific conditions of terroir into each bottle they produce. Corton-Charlmagne is a vineyard where magic happens. Situated at the top of the hill of Corton, the limestone rich soil is the perfect home for these Chardonnay vines of legendary status, helping them express the true nature of their Burgundian roots in grand fashion. Simply put, it just doesn’t get much better than this.

Love the depth of fruit and intensity of this wine. It has dark fruit and floral undertones, as well as meat, which is very captivating. Full body, purity of fruit and nice, powerful tannins. Chewy and powerful. Focused austerity. A wine for the cellar. Try in 2022.
