Lucie offers a fresh take on Burgundian varietals from Bacio Divino Cellars, busting out some seriously good vineyard-designate Pinot Noir. This Dutton Ranch beauty from the Russian River AVA benefitted from a nice long growing season and pulls out all the stops with pomegranate and cola, cherry and plum. A little baking spice and some floral notes complete the picture in a rich, creamy delight.
The 2016 Pinot Noir Lucie Bacigalupi Vineyard is classic Russian River Pinot Noir and has a ripe, sexy perfume of red and black currants, spice box, damp forest floor, and mint. Straight up beautiful on the palate, with a rounded, opulent texture, no hard edges, and medium to full body, it’s a beauty that can be drunk today with ample pleasure, yet it should evolve nicely for at least 4-6 years, although there’s no need to delay gratification.WE94
This wine has gorgeous aromatics of lavender and rose as it develops on the palate into puffy lush tannins. With a robust powerful backbone of body and oak, it offers strong flavors of cola, cherry and citrus, all seamlessly interwoven into a tapestry of bold intensity.WA92
Medium ruby in color, the 2016 Lucie Pinot Noir Bacigalupi Vineyard has scents of dried strawberries, raspberries, spiced red cherries, potpourri and cinnamon stick with hints of tree bark, dried flowers and earth. The palate is medium-bodied, intense and spicy with fine-grained tannins and great freshness on the long finish.
