You’ll find layer upon layer of complexity woven into the blending of five Bordeaux-heritage grape varieties with Cabernet Sauvignon at the core. A touch more Merlot this year tames the tannins and adds plushness to the mid-palate while Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot add threads of plum, rose, forest floor and graphite.
Nice fruit definition to this wine with blueberry and blackberry aromas and some toasted oak. Medium-to full-bodied, creamy and balanced with chocolate and hazelnuts. Bright and vivid with just a touch of alcohol. Drinkable now, but better in a year or two.
