From Morgan Broadley’s farm outside Eugene, this “southerner” [south end of the Willamette] is absolutely outstanding Pinot Noir that would embarrass many bigger names and red burgundies. This one has a beautiful deep color, and is very rich and ripe on the palate, with overtones of toasted herbs and sweet black cherries. With only 1,000 cases produced, this wine is already sold out at the winery, and you can see why. Is this one of the world’s single greatest values in Pinot Noir? We certainly think so. Pour this next to a 2017 Premier Cru from Chambolle-Musigny and you’ll see what we mean!
