This ‘Bambino’ is no sleeping baby, she’s loud enough to bring the house down! Lively and briary, with intense aromatics of plum and cardamom rising from the deep, purple glass. Expressive flavors of raspberry, cherries and lavender play against smoky tarragon and cracked pepper. Starts at a crawl, but quickly picks up speed toward well-groomed tannins.
Offers ethereal violet and crushed pepper aromas, characteristic terroir note of eucalyptus, cardamon, dried leaves, earth and cloves. Dark fruit flavors are seductively rich as though the volcanic and seabed derived soil is sending a message from times gone by. Vines were planted in the 1880s.
