Creamy peach aromas intensify on the palate into generous, medium-sweet fruit, balanced by a pleasant bitter complexity. Ripe, lush and well-defined, this silky textured wine is intense without being overwhelming, and has a long, lingering aftertaste of honey. Cave de Ribeauville manually harvests only the best grapes, which are then transported in elevator-wagons to the presses. The juices flow into the vats by simple force of gravity, a unique method in Alsace.
Clear blossom honey and Mirabelle compote are the chief aromas on this wine's vivid nose. Both the notions get more intense as they are boosted by the palate's luscious sweetness, which tips the fruit into the candied spectrum. Yet flavors remain pristine and get some backing from chalk and beeswax.
