This property had been passed down the Le Ray line since the 1600’s, until the last Le Rey descendant sold it in 2016. The Vignobles K Group now runs the show, adding this tremendous terroir to their select collection. This blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cab Franc is made in an almost Burgundian style, with a resounding purity meant to let the terroir speak first. Serve slightly chilled after an hour of aeration and revel in the depth of fruit and balance.
This is really linear and focused with beautiful blackberry and blueberry character. Full-bodied with gorgeous, diffused tannins that spread out across the palate. Racy and focused. No wood. Drink or hold.
