2017 Domaine Petroni Red Corse

$19.95
WE90WS89

Ah Corsica, the tiny French island where Napoleon was exiled is all white sand beaches and blue sky. Domaine Petroni has been making wine since the 1800’s in an idyllic spot overlooking the Mediterranean. This blend is made from a Corsican grape called Nielluccio that is similar to Sangiovese. It shows fresh strawberries, and raspberries, and a minerality that makes us think of long lazy days at the beach.

Wine Enthusiast

Niellucciu, Grenache and Syrah come from this 19th-century estate. The wine is structured and firm, ripe with red-berry flavors while also having plenty of acidity. Spicy and fruity, the wine is ready to drink. *Editors' Choice*

Fresh black cherry and red currant fruit mingles with rosemary, violet and chalk notes. Shows good cut and purity on the finish.
