Wine Advocate was digging the “volcanic-like nose with scents of tar, scorched earth and iodine,” over a core of red and black fruits laced with aniseed. It’s a suavely textured Pinot Noir ready to seduce with richness and balance. The palate is packed with intensity in the pure flavors and long, long finish. Earthy and layered, this promises to age quite well if you can keep your hands off it. But then, at this price, why would you? Just get six and hide one or two in the cellar.
The 2017 Pinot Noir from Domaine Eden has a pleasant, volcanic-like nose with scents of tar, scorched earth and iodine with a core of pure, aniseed-laced red and black berry fruits. Medium-bodied, the palate packs intense, pure flavors into a finely silty, fresh frame, and it finishes very long. It's an earthy, layered Pinot that will age very well in bottle. 1,848 cases produced.
