This high-scoring release is a Bounty Hunter Exclusive, so your friends will have to come to you for a taste. Lively spices grace a bouquet of blackberries, dark plums and red cherry. When it hits the palate, savory herbs light up the dark fruit flavors, all encased in well-integrated oak. You won’t find this bottle outside of the tasting room... unless you find it in your own cellar, that is.

Robert Mondavi founded his namesake winery in 1966 at the age of 53. He wasn't flush with cash, but he had a big dream. He envisioned that a more gracious lifestyle can be lead through the appreciation of wine, food and art. When he came to Oakville in the Napa Valley he saw the land upon which he could build his dream winery and make wines to stand shoulder to shoulder with the best wines from around the globe. Well, the Italian farm boy made good, launching what would become the first major winery in the Napa Valley after the end of Prohibition. Robert Mondavi Winery revolutionized the world of American wine by focusing on quality grape cultivation and embracing hospitality as a part of the wine business. At their Oakville estate, styled in homage to the missions of early California, the warm spirit of hospitality is ever present. Drop by, they'd love to see you.

This is really succulent and bright with a solid core of fruit and a refined and lightly chewy palate. Tangy and focused. Some stone undertones with chocolate powder and cedar. Long and flavorful. Fresh finish. Vertical. Drink or hold.

Not yet bottled, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District is a beauty and should easily be an outstanding wine. A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc, it’s a medium to full-bodied, focused, vibrant 2017 with lots of cassis and red currant fruits as well as background spice, lead pencil, and dried herbs. The tannin quality is first-rate and the wine is beautifully balanced. It’s going to evolve for 15 years or more.
