French winemaker Philippe Langer builds a food-friendly, precise vision of Napa Valley Cabernet from small lots across appellations. Close your eyes and you might mistake it for a Bordeaux with its nose of black currant, Maduro cigar and dark chocolate. Bright acidity keeps this approachable now, although the serious styling hints at a longer future than we usually see at this price point!
Notes of black fruit, cigar, dried herbs and wood. It’s full-bodied with firm tannins and a savory, energetic finish. Tar and asphalt coming through.
