The key to a great Cab is keeping all of that wonderful power in balance, and Bevan is masterful at it. Iron, spice and earth dominate here, but it only serves to lift up the purity of fruit. Big enough to demand a few years of bottle age, this is a classic example of the vintage.

Iron, crushed rocks, spice, and scorched earth notes all dominate the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard, a rich, powerful yet balanced wine. Showing the purity of fruit that's classic in the vintage, ripe tannins, terrific balance, and a big finish, it's going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age.

Wine Advocate

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, 100% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant scents of black cherries, boysenberries and cassis followed by suggestions of menthol, licorice and tobacco leaf. Medium-full, firm, fine-grained and lively with great intensity and loads of mineral sparks, it finishes with great purity. 1,005 cases were made.

Vinous

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is a blend taken from the front blocks on the property, those that touch the Silverado Trail. It is a classic Bevan wine built on textural opulence and richness. Dark fruit, chocolate, licorice and new leather are some of the many aromas and flavors that build as this flamboyant Cabernet shows off its considerable charms.
