Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon coming from Rutherford, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon g3 displays a deep garnet-purple color. It bursts from the glass with bombastic scents of crème de cassis, blueberry pie, Black Forest cake and mocha with hints of star anise, rose oil and woodsmoke plus a touch of lavender. Full-bodied, decadently fruited and super concentrated in the mouth, it features a lively backbone cutting through the dense black fruit layers with a velvety texture, leading to a beautiful floral lift on the long finish. 125 cases were made

A richer, more concentrated, backward wine that’s going to blossom with short-term cellaring, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon G3 emerges from the Georges III Vineyard in Rutherford. It offers lots of gravelly earth, graphite, chocolate, and cassis, with background oak, full-bodied richness, and building tannins. As with the Napa Valley release, it has gorgeous purity. Hide bottles for 2-4 years and enjoy over the following two decades. This is all varietal and spent 21 months in 80% new French oak.
