2018 Chapel Hill 'The Parson' Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre Mclaren Vale
Looking for an Australian export that’s a little easier to lock down than Margot Robbie? This brings all the attitude and costs less than the price of your movie tickets and popcorn.
James Suckling
This has a very approachable raspberry, blueberry and red-plum core with a wealth of juicy, fleshy fruit pop. Drink now. Screw cap.

The Parson is one of those predictable yet always solidly made labels that continually offers bang for buck. This vintage leads with notes of grape jelly, but not in an overly ripe way. Red berries are there too, along with subtle floral, mocha and spice nuances. The nose leads gently onto a medium- to full-bodied palate, laced with dried herbs and spices and supported by sandy textured tannins. This was built for weeknight drinking beside a bowl of Bolognese.
